Just set up a website where I can post all the weird weblinks people send me every day. Head on over to [Link goes to external site] HackDot.com and see it in action. I update it a few times a day, nearly every day. It's more fun than this one. ;-)

This is very silly, but very cool... Real life matrix-pong. Cheers.

Just got back from a vacation to Boston for the 4th of July. Ping and I were personally responsible for at least 6 lobster-deaths during the trip, eating at least one full lobster each and every day. Numerous clams, mussels and a solitary softshell crab also gave their lives for our enjoyment.

Began working on new Java client for my AquaController, one that I intend to integrate with my yet-to-be-developed [Link goes to external site] ReefLogs.com. I'm trying to make it pretty, and woo boy have I been learning a lot about Java GUI development. Fun stuff, I've got about 3 hours of work done, and so far only have a splash screen. I'm sure it'll get easier...

I'm wearing my green Internet shoes today. I'm not sure if they mean I'm a super geek (I ordered shoes over the Internet, fer cryin' out loud), or if I'm getting old (I ordered shoes through the mail!). But I love the way they feel. They're so poorly made, like foam rubber and nylon, they remind me of getting shoes when I was a kid... They felt so bouncy when you first got them, they made me feel like I was so fast! I remember running around the store to 'try them out'. Ah yes, my childhoold. Brought back the life through the miracle of the Internet.

Very pleased with the new pump for the aquarium. The whole tank sounds like a waterfall now, but the creatures in my tank seem happy.

I've been learning to read with help from Dick and Jane. here we have some classic examples of their innocence.

And here are some new games I'm just dying to try: Plinko and Gandhi

Posted a review of my Tunze Osmolator Universal 3155. For those of you that don't speak fish, that is a waterlevel controller for fresh and saltwater tanks. I get a kick out of that sort of thing.

On Monday, a whole bunch of stuff arrived for my tank, including the Osmolator, some replacement actinic lights, and a high-output pump for my sump return. Should boost my tank flow about 4x, and hopefully make all my residents a bit happier. As an added bonus, I get to do all sorts of new PVC plumbing work to get this beast running. I have to get the other overflow working too, as the single overflow won't have the capacity to handle the flow rate. Mmmm, PVC....
